Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali envisions a new generation of scientists dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge in frontier areas of basic sciences. Short-term (summer or one-semester) Project Positions
Interested students may e-mail their resume to akde@iisermohali.ac.in and may apply for fellowships from Science Academies' Summer Research Fellowship Programme OR from Summer Research Program at IISER Mohali.
For PhD Program
Applications are invited from highly motivated and enthusiastic students with a background in any branch of science or engineering. Interested candidates may e-mail their resume and a brief write-up on research interest (<500 words) to akde@iisermohali.ac.in Interested PhD candidates may apply through the PhD Program at IISER Mohali. Admissions to the PhD program are carried out twice a year. Applications are invited in March and September of each year through an advertisement on the IISER Mohali webpage.
For Posdoctoral Program
Applications for postdoc position are welcome from students with a PhD degree (or have submitted their PhD thesis) in any branch of science or engineering. Interested candidates may contact Dr. Arijit K. De and e-mail their resume (with one-page summary of research pursued) and a brief write-up on research proposal (<1,000 words) to akde@iisermohali.ac.in.
We strongly encourage the interested candidates to apply for fellowships from IISER Mohali OR from CSIR (RA Scheme). Candidates, who already have 3 yrs of Postdoc/RA experience, may apply for applying for a position under the CSIR Senior RA (Pool Scientist) Scheme.
Women candidates may consider applying for a position under the DST women scientist scheme. Presently we are actively looking for postdocs having following research expertise (in order of preference):
1)Materials science: preferably synthesis and characterization of (active materials in) photovoltaics/solar cells.
2) Laser spectroscopy (preferably ultrafast time-resolved spectroscopy) and LabVIEW programming.
3) Theoretical chemistry: preferably chemical dynamics and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics.
